After 15 years in the IT business and three acquisitions, Big Sur acquires yet another company: MSR Technologies.
Different than the previous acquisitions, MSR Technologies is comprised of over 75 small businesses. While Big Sur Technologies already works with many small businesses, the acquisition of MSR Technologies reinforces our varied markets and expands our footprint in the greater Tampa Bay marketplace.
Big Sur is a managed services provider for businesses in health care, education, state and local government and small to medium businesses. The company is a gainful employer, providing top-notch technical support to more than 300 customers in the central Florida area.
Shane Robin, former CEO of MSR Technologies, has provided network support for 13 years before considering this transition for his clients. Robin met Sam Sandusky, President & CEO of Big Sur Technologies, through a mutual friend. They are both heavily invested in their families, which created an instant bond. Robin had met with two other interested buyers, but thought that Big Sur had a similar company culture and knew Big Sur would take care of their clients – the deal was finalized in late December.
Coming off a banner year in 2014, Sandusky is expecting a 50% increase in revenue for 2015. Big Sur continues to invest in cloud solutions for mid-sized businesses, and has secured many connections in the enterprise business. Two thousand fifteen could be Big Sur Technologies’ biggest year yet.
